Barbra M. Delgado

Delgado of Mountain Home, lost her battle with cancer and died at the age of 71 on March 22, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise. A graveside inurnment will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Mountain View Cemetery, in Mountain Home. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home. Barbra was born to Claude S. Glenn and Viola M. (Smith) Glenn in Tillamook, Oregon, on July 20, 1946. After her mother passed away, she and younger brother spent their early child hood years in Tillamook, with an aunt and uncle. In 1956 they relocated to Renton, Washington where her father had settled. She graduated from Renton High School in 1964.Barbra then married Dana Barclay and they had two children. After the marriage ended, she and her children lived in Pocatello, Idaho and then Hillsboro, Oregon, where she worked in the electronics industry. Later she moved to Amarillo, Texas and re-married. She worked many years there, in an interior wood trim factory. In 1999 Barbra came back to Idaho and settled in Mountain Home, where she worked 12 years for Walmart before an 11 year battle with cancer. Her home there was her pride and joy. She loved working in the yard and enjoyed the constant companionship of her dogs and cat. But, more than anything, she loved knowing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbra is survived by her daughter, Debbie M. Barclay Escamilla; son, Michael and his wife Diane Barclay; brother, William and his wife Dianne Glenn; three grandchildren and spouses, Senaida M. Garcia and her husband Jose Carrero, Trinadad Jovita Barclay, Sissi St. Andre and her husband Matthew, two great-granddaughters, Halana and Charlie Carraway; and one great-grandson, Joseph Michael Barclay.Memorial donations in Barbra’s name may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society, 2676 So. Vista, Boise, ID 83705.The family would like to thank all her doctors, nurses and caregivers. (Mountain Home News)
